Once again, here is a Saint of the Day (Blesse Caesar de Bus) that you can add to the long list of Saints who saw what War (aka Mass Murder) actually looks like, was deeply disturbed by what he saw, repented and moved in the direction of the priesthood and devoted his life to teaching families how to catechize their children in the faith! 

I am always so moved when I see new saints that I never heard of have, literally, “Come to Jesus” after being confronted with the reality of cruelty and the naked evil of violence.
