Have you been listening to the podcast? If so, then maybe you can tell me what’s going on here, and how this thread on Twitter pretty much summarizes everything that we’ve been talking about on the podcast, especially with Fr. McCarthy, for the last year!
I was there last night, singing for the Mass of the Nativity of St. John. There is somebody living across the street who keeps a gay flag. A police car was parked before his house and he was shouting something before Mass. Nothing else happened, but we surely sung with gusto.
Oh, wow! You were at St. Anne’s? I’m curious how the parish is responding to these threats.
Yes, that’s my parish. We were the guest choir last night.
Are you on Facebook? I’m not, but John (our musical director) posted on our page,
https://www.facebook.com/oratorianbros
that security cameras were being fitted to the exterior of the church during the ceremony (I was wondering why that guy needed to go to and fro the choir loft so often!). All things considered, the faithful kept a good spirit and were not intimidated.
